So why did I spend so many years becoming an expert at every genuinely interesting programming I could find? why did I stay up hours past my bed time studying books deeply, writing and rewriting programs? I finally figured out why, I love computation. That's what really matters. That's all, you can go back to arguing about comment syntax.
It isn't enough to simply stop programming. Instead you have have to advance computation until it overtakes programming, and renders it as no longer a valid career choice. This is the ultimate purpose of the nihilistic programmer.
