McAfee's business model is based on flaws in Windows and competes with free products like MS Security Essentials. If MS rolls out Singularity or people switch to another OS they'd be dead overnight. So why would Intel want McAfee, even with their own extreme dependency on Windows? Because McAfee knows about unpublished Windows security holes. That alone is worth billions. There is proof that Stuxnet, Duqu, Flame, etc. contained Hebrew idioms and references to Israeli events. Intel Israel could have worked with the Mossad.
