Learning Programming

I'm a professional soccer/football player. I love computers and programming, sadly, I know 0 things about both. Now, my question is: It's a good idea learn programming as a hobby(I want to learn C as first language) or not?

Yes it is a good idea.

C is as good a first language as any, if you aren't mentally deficient and aren't a faggot who gives up on everything that is slightly difficult. It's a small language, but it isn't easy because of the under-featured standard library, lack of high-level features, and manual memory management. If you can't deal with that stuff, though, you probably shouldn't be programming. If you really just want to do it as a hobby and don't care about anything else then Python is probably better. It's easier and you can do more with it at first.

That being said, you can start with any Turing-complete language at all, even Brainfuck (don't start with Brainfuck). It doesn't matter where you start, what matters is where you end up.
