I've only heard terrible sounding things so far, for desktops.
Why the FUCK does everything have to be ``mobile'' oriented nowadays? For fuck's sake, this is supposed to be a desktop OS, or at least the desktop version of some OS. And all I heard about is Metro bullshit.
I'll stick to my homosexual BSD, thank you.

I use Metro every day as a commuter from home to work
Everything's going ``mobile'' because the computer markets are moving back to the old terminal-mainframe model.
Except this time, the terminals are disguised as actual computers, while under total control of the mainframe owner.
The age of Treacherous Computing has begun.

what really astounded me was that metro UI will even be 'compulsory' on windows 8 server. I want some of what they're huffing at Redmond.

Yeah, I would like to see how an office will work if all desktop computers are replaced with ipads. Orthopedists and psychotherapists are going to love it.
Oh shit I forgot that the only ever people to use a tablet mainframe client either seep on their parents' money or work a shitty job which does not require a desktop PC, e. g. a cashier, and they use it so that their equally shitty friends will not think that they are uncool and poor. These people are irrelevant, so why worry? Desktop PCs aren't going anywhere as long as there is work to be done (or at least until some sort of usable neurointerface is developed)
