Is there any general library for controlling monitor settings via proggles?
The NVidia and AMD drivers I think control the actual image settings, but when I used an Intel driver it would actually send brightness/contrast settings to the monitor. This got me wondering if I could turn the monitor off and on via proggles, or at least send the monitor into standby or even tell the drivers to stop using the monitor entirely, instead of unplugging it because for some stupid reason NVidia drivers I've used don't like to disengage monitors when they're off or easily manipulate when/how you use the monitor.
Along similar lines, is there a window hijacker I could use so instead of Windows default retarded window management, I could tell it which windows I'd prefer to be on monitor 0/1. I've already got gridmove which definitely helps on a 2560x1440 monitor, as well as qttabbar.
