The Myths of Object-Orientation, presented by James Noble (whose work has been discussed here before) at ECOOP’09, is a post-Marxist analysis that examines object orientation from a number of angles. From the abstract:

    Object-Orientation is now over forty years old. In that time, Object-Oriented programming has moved from a Scandinavian cult** to a world-wide standard. In this talk I’ll revisit the essential principles — myths — of object-orientation, and discuss their role in the evolution of languages from SIMULA to Smalltalk to C++ to Java and beyond. Only by keeping the object-oriented faith can we ensure full-spectrum object-oriented dominance for the next forty years in the project for a new object-oriented century!

No Mythology of Object Orientation would be complete without at least a nodding acknowledgment of the venerable master Qc Na, the hero with a thousand faces, whose teachings are only known to us through the fragmentary work of his disciples. Here's one of the more widely known koans:

The venerable master Qc Na was walking with his student, Anton. Hoping to prompt the master into a discussion, Anton said “Master, I have heard that objects are a very good thing — is this true?” Qc Na looked pityingly at his student and replied, “Foolish pupil — objects are merely a poor man's closures.”

Chastised, Anton took his leave from his master and returned to his cell, intent on studying closures. He carefully read the entire “Lambda: The Ultimate...” series of papers and its cousins, and implemented a small Scheme interpreter with a closure-based object system. He learned much, and looked forward to informing his master of his progress.

On his next walk with Qc Na, Anton attempted to impress his master by saying “Master, I have diligently studied the matter, and now understand that objects are truly a poor man's closures.” Qc Na responded by hitting Anton with his stick, saying “When will you learn? Closures are a poor man's object.” At that moment, Anton became enlightened.

Karl Marx (birth-named Mordecai Levi) was a son of orthodox rabbi. Cultural Marxism was created by the Frankfurt School of Social Research. They sought to overcome the failure of the earlier communist revolutions in not being able to spread throughout Europe and North America.

Ultimately, during their exile from Vienna, Austria during WWII, the discovered their new strategy. Instead of Marxism being economically focused, they would marry Marxism with culture. They would attack culture through every angle feasible. And they gave a name to their new found methodology: Critical Theory.

Much of their literature has been directly responsible for kicking off pretty much every counter-culture movement over the past 55 years. Their biggest one was Eros and Civilization, which is attributed by many scholars for leading to the rise of the Hippy "free-love" movement of the 60s and 70s. They are also directly responsible for third-wave feminism, the LGBT movement, and multiculturalism, and every other facet of post-modern egalitarianism.

The reason you don't hear about it in the media often is because the media is controlled by the very people who are allied with the degeneration of Western civilization, and they seek to keep the masses in the dark.
