Ask yourself: would you eat mass produced foods if there was no external review and no requirement to list ingredients on the label? Imagine that not only do you not know what's in your food, but any attempt to find out what's in it will be met by swift legal action and large fines.

If not, why would you use computers with closed firmware and software that might well be legally spying on you (as is the case with most phones), and is subject to those exact rules?
