I agree and feel the same way about all of your responses, so I'll just respond to a few of them:

Nobody is stupid enough not to realize someone else is having a harder time than them (strictly using the definition of privilege, this is what it boils down to).

You still didn't answer my request to point out why the notion of privilege is useful.
Basically, it is all in this: It is useful as an individual to simply be aware of how the world works. The first step in facing something is to simply know and understand what you are facing.
