Webcam LED

Would anyone here know of the programmatic way to disable a webcam's LED?  I smell Hex Editing, but that's okay.

If you try to force it to take a picture that fast you won't get any recognisable image (if it even lets you do so.) The sensors they use require a short calibration time when turned on to adjust things like white balance and exposure.
