NAME
       GC, Garbage Collector, shit

DESCRIPTION
GC (Garbage Collector) is shit. It is used in enterprise languages
such as Lisp and Java. It is recommended not to use such programming
       languages and use SEPPLES instead.

BUGS
       GC is shit.

If Java had true garbage collection, most programs would delete themselves upon execution.

Back to creating shit programs, faggoSegmentation fault.

Wut? My C++ programs are 100% working. No memory leaks and no segmentation faults. There are tools for ensuring that.

Go back to /faggot/

GHC had an unintentional feature kinda like that once. Under certain conditions, when presented with a syntax error, it would report the error and then promptly destroy the offending source file

That's actually kind of hilarious.

Your mom is actually kind of fuckable.

Fuck off and die you shit programmer faggot.

I'd rather suck cock than use GC.

Enjoy your segfaults, ahead of time compilation and type systems, nigger fag.

not using reference counted smart pointers

Fuck off and die.

If GC is shit, then reference counting is something like carrying your dick through a mile of broken glass to finally stick it into a barrel of salt, rip your spine off your ass and bath yourself in a fuckload of elephant dung.

Reference counting does this within context, and at the right moment. GC does not, it saves things up until the most inconvenient moment, and then starts guessing what should be done, taking amounts of time, most of which is being spent on deciding if it is the right thing to do.

GC makes an application behave unpredictable, makes debugging in this area  unreproducible, and it introduces cpu load spikes.

I believe that GC is nothing more than some  experimental computer science field of research, that had some friends in high places, who were able to let it into the wild and stuff out down our throats.

And recursively into an unpredictable depth.

That something can go recursive does not mean it will go recursive. Usually there are little or no orphans. Besides you do not have to use recursion to release orphans.

why do you post the same thing on /g/, you bandwagon fag?

hah, i like how you listed Lisp with C# and Java

Name: Anonymous 2012-06-05 18:49

reference counting more like "oops i forgot to decrement the refcount *leak*" and "oops i accidentally tried decrementing the refcount of a NULL pointer *crash*"

If you cannot cope with these basics, then either you are not a professional, or you didn't pay attention in classes.

Not really. I could have said that reference counting is for men, and GC for boys. But I couldn't find something witty to rhyme with toys.

Name: Anonymous 2012-06-05 19:47

whats going on in here?

Name: Anonymous 2012-06-05 19:48

Effects of GC.

Name: Anonymous 2012-06-05 19:50

what about it?

Name: Anonymous 2012-06-05 19:51

do you believe in rats?
