How does one into secure passwords?

use "password" as password for everything
when it gets hacked, change it to "password1" and when that gets hacked, change to "password2"
eventually you will havwe a ssecure passWRD NIGGER MATURE!!! COMPOSEF OF INDEFNITE NUMBARZZZZZZZZ!!!!!

If it's a password you expect you will ever type out by hand, use a passphrase. Otherwise just generate a 200-character password from /dev/random and be done with it.
