Unless you mean after graduation. My college was big on UML too (it was a Java school), but I haven't used it even once since then. As long as you avoid buzzword employers, you should be fine.

Nah I remember it just got more and more stupid courses that aren't particularly about programming and I just stopped caring .... Bioinformatics , machine learning , I can't even remember some of the others they were so dull
