I don't know which book you should get, but I can tell you which book not to get. The C++ Programming Language is a good read if you have experience coding, for beginners it is not very helpful. You'll get lost in a terse book if that's where you start.

OP, youre asking for something that does not exist, there is no beginners C++ book because C++ is not a beginners language. Go ahead and read C++ for Dummies, Teach Yourself C++ in 21 Days, Accelerated C++, or any other commonly recommended C++ book, Then run all the console apps that average grades and keep warehouse supply orders so you can fool yourself into believing you program C++ when actually your helpless to do anything but idiot console apps. Youve probably already read a bunch of C++ books and you think its just that one C++ you missed that is holding you back from being a leet hacker. You'll still keep coming back over and over asking for something that does not exist because you are too stupid to take advice that was given you in the first place, dont learn C++ till youve learned C and Java/C#. Your choice, keep being an idiot and continue to be ignored or learn what you need to know first before you start on C++

It's really not that bad. stop being so intimidating. If I didn't know what seeples was, I'd be discourage by what you said. I know plenty of people who got their start in seeples and had no problem with transitioning to C or whatever else. Java is a different story though.
