Hey /prog/
I want to try again at programming.
I started 1.5 years ago with alice (lol alice) in some highschool course I took, while the class was largely a waste of time, it did teach me the basics of programming.
With this knowledge I moved onto Java using some textbook .pdf I was recommended here. I caught on pretty fast and was able to write some simple programs that didn't really have any application unless you needed a guy to write you a program that could add 2 variables. I got about halfway through the book before I gave up.
Anyway, I want to try again and was wondering, should I start with Java since I have a little experience with it, or should I start with something else?
Also, if you can, provide me with the learning materials I'll need to get going.
Thanks
