MS said they revised their stance and would permit Win8 on x86 systems that would somehow permit users to manage their keys for secure boot. At that point I don't believe any existed and I doubt any are on the market at this time.

They also said on ARM they will not allow Win8 on systems that permit *any* other OS from running, regardless of signing. That goes way beyond the secure boot restriction.

DRM doesn't have to lock it down against you. You can use some of Intel's features to your own benefit. Sadly it's not very practical to do so. I've always wished that DRM was designed to support the users' rights.
