Is there anything widely used that is written in Lisp?

Yes.

Can you name something? Genuinely curious, not a troll. The only thing I know about is emacs.

SBCL, ACL, LispWorks. They are widely used by Lispers.

>least used operating system (linux)
>least used window arrangement (tiling)
>not even most popular of these, not as popular as awesomewm

>a text editor is hardly a particularly impressive piece of software
>least used type of text editor (command line)
>not most popular, behind nano and vim

Is there seriously nothing written in Lisp that is widely used? I find this astounding for a language that has been around for 50 years that is widely regarded as the most expressive programming language.

Basically, it's the least used out of the 'main' 3 by a longshot.

they could if they wanted to. windows servers do, even if you don't want them to

I doubt there are a massive amount of servers running stumpwm. It's still some barely even used wm.

i just disagree with your point that linux is the least used operating system. i gave stumpwm as an example because it's a practical project, not an abstract research problem solver

I meant least used OS out of people that usually use WMs (i.e. not servers) out of the three people usually think of. That would have been a bit wordy. Didn't know about Crash Bandicoot etc, that is cool. Just looking around I find it strange just how many things are written in C++ in comparison to anything else.

Most of that software is utter shit. NASA software turned to crap after they stopped using Lisp.
Sage is retarded cross-breed of Maxima(Common Lisp) and Octave (C).

Portage is the only software on your list worth consideration.

Ugh you guys are fucking amateurs at answering questions...

All those cheap airfair sites are in Lisp.  Orbitz, heard of it?

Only the prototype was written in Lisp. And then the original idea was by Gate's wife - some Jewish girl (yes, Jews are guilty again). M$ also reused the same idea in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_Assistant, which were annoying as shit.

The critic must be willing and able at any time and on demand to take the place of the criticized and do his job efficiently and competently, otherwise the criticism turns into a brazen self-sufficient force, and becomes an obstacle on a way of the cultural progress. -- Joseph Goebbels

Popularity is not directly proportional to quality. Example: Java.

Don't change these.
