although it sounds pretty cool. It would definitely be useful for users keeping track of their stuff. It would probably be annoying if you were accessing files that were normally in one consistent location, like a dynamic library or something, and if the overhead of the access was noticeable. I'd just use a regular unix file system, with an application that would keep certain files index by tags in a data based. And the tags would be either manually entered, or extracted in some deterministic way from the file, based upon its file type.
