What happens after it terminates?

What happens to a program after it executes...? it doesn't just disappear does it? what about the dynamic memory? why do people kill it?

I don't understand /prog/ I don't want my program to stop existing ... My god why won't the tears stop, my poor fibonacci heap, how many times have i made you, yet you never occupy the same memory address.
