PHP not being interperated by apache

Name: Anonymous 2012-02-01 22:29

I am fresh web script in general and have installed php5 mysql and apache2 on my ubuntu system. I believe by default my php5 install uses a module on mysql. My problem is when I serve a php script it would simply open it. I tried a purge and reinstall of php5 and some random configure change. I no longer open it but still no dice. Also my permissions are locked in my www folder. Anyone able to shed some light on this?

tl;dr : see subject.

www is owned by root for a reason fool.

read some of the apache documentation fool. find some tutorials for doing what you are trying to do.

we can't diagnose your problems from a paragraph fool.

If you don't like the racist cancer, you are welcome to dilute it with your contributions, or complaints. either will work, fool.

well, solving your problem isn't a personal goal for me, so I don't need any information for my sake. however, if you would like to solve the problem yourself, I would guess that the information you would need resides in the apache documentation.

Not going to click on your man boy love link. Troll with something that is not in popular culture like southpark.

I fucked around with the config and ini and turned on error reports. Anyone know if I need some sort of library I dont have. Interpreter does not recognize connection to mysql (not syntax) or the get content command. I can now echo but that is pretty much useless for me.

you should start with the simplest case first. Like getting apache to run a hello world php page. Then maybe using mysql from php without apache in the picture. Then getting it to work from apache. Apache has a lot of configuration and security settings stuff to itself.
