hiding user input in a batch file

Name: Anonymous 2012-01-03 10:52

I'm trying to find how to hide user input in a batch file
I once found a way with vbs that worked perfectly but now i can't find it
i've found heaps of ways of doing it all of which either don't work or are extremely over complicated
i remember the one i found ages ago was only about 2 or 3 lines of code

Thanks.

It's like SET ECHO OFF or something? I forget. It been a long time since I've used DOS. I hope that you are not using batch files in any professional setting. Only pain and suffering, will you experience.

@ECHO OFF hides the commands executed. CHOICE can read user keypresses without displaying the characters they entered. If all else fails, create a COM file with DEBUG and call the appropriate BIOS interrupt(s).
