   DECEMBER 2011 Programming Community Index

   11. Ruby                 1.494% -0.29%
   12. Delphi/Object Pascal 1.245% -0.93%
   13. Lisp                 1.175% +0.11%

Lisp is growing and Ruby is going down fast. So, what are you waiting to learn the best language ever created?
Imagine a world where Lisp is the dominant language. The software would be years ahead of what he have now.

Both Common Lisp and Scheme have semantic and architectural deficiencies, as well as shit syntax.

It measures the "programming community". So it's perfectly legitimate to use search engines and Alexa to get that kind of data.

you really think 33% of "the programming community" is posting on blogger?

10% of "the programming community" is making youtube videos about programming?

even recording the number of results from a google search is really bad. that number google gives you is not accurate at all and fluctuates all the time.

tiobe's ranking is rubbish

Python's delta is hilarious.

LISP's rise in rankings was partly aided by the constant stream of /prog/ shitposts asking why LISP is a superior language.
