If programmers

are so good and stuff and can make computers do things and do math(s), then why don't the governments hire programmers to solve the economy? It'd be like a big group programming challenge but with a real world use.

i solved the econemy long ago but the government shut me down :C

Programmers are evil. They made the algorithms to create money out of nothing, and thus the crisis.

programmers aren't so good and stuff
and what do you mean by "solve the economy"? the economy is a complex system and an emergent structure. a single unit can't do shit about it, nor should.

It is called communism, because it requires centralised planning. USSR explicitly used computers to simulate economic development and it has failed.

Economy is NP-hard and AI-complete.

Water is evil. Evil people drink water who in turn create money out of nothing, and thus the crisis. If there was no water, there would be no evil people.

Shock doctrine. There's no interest in solving anything (assuming programmers could actually do something).

Economy makes no sense when money is involved

Economy is a load of bull.

Could the government  become a giant  Lisp program?

Programmers are only good at solving deterministic problems. Economy isn't deterministic. IHBT.
