I like both /prog/ and /jp/. It's clear we share a lot of the same userbase.
What I don't like is people roleplaying that there's some sort of interboard war or implied relationship between the two. Everyone on /prog/ loves Touhou and everyone on /jp/ has read their SICP, but please don't create drama between the boards !

/prog/ was a tolerable place up until the beginning of this year when it started to degenerate. I had no problem with /jp/ posters on /prog/ prior to the beginning of this year, and I'm guessing it's a mass mixture of things that led /prog/ to the sad state it's in today (reddit, migrants from other imageboard sites, the fact that 4chan is nearly three times more populated than it was just two years ago, etc.)

I wish all the shitposters and Java/PHP users move to /pr/ (http://www.7chan.org/pr/), but that's just wishful thinking.
