I'm not FrozenVoid, I'm just another nameless /prog/rider. I think a lot of what FV posts is shit, but this idea is pretty neat. It reminds me of Usenet NZBs.

I agree (shocking!). We should actually get this done for the hell of it. Just make sure FV doesn't write his infamous userscripts have anything to do with it.

Gives output like filename/thread-id:post1,post2,postN which is what you give as input to download that file.

Uploading:
$ python progshare.py -u img.jpg
Posting 49036 bytes
Found suitable thread (1188442589)
Finished. Post information:
img.jpg/1188442589:6,7,8,9,10,11

Downloading:
$ python progshare.py -d img.jpg/1188442589:6,7,8,9,10,11

Where is your exception handling?

Also, nice idea FV. Very interesting. This could really expand /prog/.

Fuck tha police exception handling. Nah, I just threw that together without it as I would never actually be using this myself.

But you can reach upload speeds of 0.5KB/s with it!

There, wrapped the urlopen calls to exit with -1 after printing to stderr. Happy now?

Just don't distribute this widely or MrVacBob will wake up and implement a captcha here.

Name: Anonymous 2011-11-30 3:51

Then we shall just have to implement a captcha-breaker!

Besides, this really is shite. I mean, we could achieve the same thing spamming a pastebin site with it, and would have better upload speeds as a result.

Don't change these.
