I really liked those trivia IRC bots. They were fun.

What was that game where you were given an initialism (e.g. TRBT) and a topic (e.g. Things you shouldn't say at a funeral) and participants in the channel came up with a witty backronym? Then everyone voted and many LOLs were had.

and what is TRBT?

I remember playing that game on DALnet several years ago. We didn't use a topic though, just the "initialism". It would be a fun programming project for an up and coming /prog/rider to recreate this:

10 Bot generates an initialism and posts it in the channel
20 Everyone has a minute to /msg bot !entry %solution
30 Bot lists the entries in the channel (anonymized)
40 Everyone has a minute to /msg bot !vote %entry_nr
50 Bot lists the scores
60 Go to 10

IIRC these things were usually coded in mIRCScripts or Perl (eggdrop).

The last time I saw something like this was a battle.net channel bot in 2004. It was good.

Don't change these.
