The choices as I see it are:
- preserve the informational content that makes you (cryo, for now)
- sacrifice it to the science humanity as it may or may not help serve better model certain unusual neurophysiologies
- foolishly destroy it in some non-preserving burial methods.
I'd figure most sensible people would go for the first option and some might go for the second. If it's mainly genetic, their option seem to be to harvest from abortions. My persona opinion is that another option would be (various forms of) cloning, but human cloning laws are weird and that would probably never be used as an option by publishing scientists and instead they would choose to destroy brains that should be preserved as it's the legal option. Oh, how current society thinks that it's making ethical choices here, and yet it seems to me the current way leads to a much more tragic outcome.
