And not a single fuck was given that day.

Touhous. Etc.

What's the point of having a programming imageboard? Do you really need images to talk about programming? That's fucking retarded. It would be filled with ,,kewl cat image reaction makros xD'', and zero actual discussion. /prog/, as a textboard, is just perfect.
/prog/ had a good post rate (slow enough to let you actually think about what you're posting, fast enough to not be Ruby4-ch), which got ruined by the recent influx of spammers, redditors and /g/tards.
If we get new mods or janitors, they would be as retarded as the /g/tards.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:17

i'll consider it. i didn't realize dis.4chan/prog/ was bad -- i had heard it was good, but that was years ago
i had heard it was good

Lol, yeah.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:19

I always wonder, what has 4chan in its current form that keeps the masses coming over again and again.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:21

What's the point of having a programming imageboard?
SICP/Touhou images.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:22

>>7
There's /jp/ for that.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:23

>>8
What about Leah images?

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:26

>>9
Add [img] tags to Shiitchan.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:26

I can't use Imgur(its too complex) so i demand moot install image upload fields on /prog/(should be easy).

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:36

So moot will probably create a programming imageboard. What does it mean for /prog/?

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:37

>>12
Shitposters will finally go back to the imageboards.

Name: VIPPER 2011-10-23 8:38

>>12
It means it will keep the faggots away.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:41

>>13,14
It will be the other way around most likely. There will be a link to /prog/ at the top of the page, like on /v/ or /mu/.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 8:46

Who is this 「moot」 fellow, anyway? Does he work for Mr VacBob-sama?

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 9:52

What are alternatives to /prog/, in case it gets retarded mod with a tripcode?

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 9:56

>>4
If we get new mods or janitors, they would be as retarded as the /g/tards.
They will ban you for denigrating Python and saying bad things about Guido's mom.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 10:08

>>17

7chan has a [spoiler]/prog/[spoiler] imageboard. People there are shit posters from what I've read. [u]Fuck 'em[u]

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 10:16

>>19
It's an imageboard, what did you expect?

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 10:18

So he brought back /r9k/ (that place is very depressing), /hc/ and /pol/ but why not /new/?

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 10:30

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 10:39

>>19
They have mods and banned me for bitching about C++.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 11:12

>>4
That's the point you fucking retard, if we get a programming imageboard all the morons will be attracted to the shiny images and leave /prog/ alone so we can have our super secret club back.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 11:14

/prog/ is disgusting nowadays, it's filled with pythonistas, enemies of Sussman and disciples of the ANTI-CUDDER Abelson and his new master Guido.
You know it's true.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 11:32

You're now watching two strangers discuss your question!
Question to discuss:
Why is the programming language `Python' so popular? It's fucking shit: terrible syntax, terrible support of functional programming, terrible reference implementation, terrible package system.

Stranger 1: http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/python.png
Stranger 2: amma check it out man!
Stranger 1: Thank god I got that question again.
Stranger 2: loool
Stranger 1: I had the link prepared but the stranger disconnected.
Stranger 2: lawl
Stranger 2: amma check it ou
Stranger 1: I should probably go back to my TARDIS now.
Stranger 1: *VWORP VWORP VWORP*

Stranger 1 has disconnected

I'm pretty sure I'd prefer doing enterprise Java for a living than discuss with such programmers. /prog/'d better remain a textboard.
That said, it would be better if people could refrain themselves from making irrelevant or ``hacking'' threads.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 13:26

There's already /g/. Honestly, contemporary image boards need to take a cue from iichan/4-ch/etc and have a limited number of boards, but one topic per thread. Instead of "halp /g/ how do i hack??" there should be
[Newbies] Hacking! [Part 1337]

The only reason why 4chan is so shit is because lack of mods that ban these stupid fucks niggerdick.

Name: FrozenVoid 2011-10-23 13:46

Mods are solution to the wrong problem: /prog/ is not a secreet 1337ist club it used to be in 2008. Its web2.0 /prog/ now and people can't adapt to that by telling everyone "go back to /\w+/".

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 13:53

>>29
Go back to reddit, FV.

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-23 13:55

Anonymous discussions are the antithesis of Web Minitel 2.0.

Moar leik Voiden Frost talks /prog/ with Mootles, amirite?
