It's called "Arigato" because I love japan! Of course it will fully support unicode, in fact I'm using japanese brackets instead of {}'s! It's going to have a continuation based web server like ruby on rails and a compiler, facebook API and interpreter so it can be used for anything. The syntax is going to be a mix of python (for the indentation) and haskell for the brevity and clarity (don't worry, no type systems getting in the way of creativity though!). The standard type of indentation is a single tab. Spaces will be used for aligning things like if/then/elses in nonstandard ways (for code poetry). You'll be able to have three types of comments: Single line using a # character and, really cool, multi-line comments that nest like #: one comment #: inside :# another :# as well as a "plaintext insert" comment where you write out a word in all caps then paste as much text as you want inside it then repeat the word. Anyway it's really exciting come check it out on my github and follow me on twitter!
