Showing one's appreciation for a person who has died is the politically correct thing to do.

It is because of the people who use the misfortune of others, milking every drop of it, to bring some attention to themselves. The media starts it when their search for an incident to blow up to a sensation, comes across a tale of a mans broken heart, in the loss of a dear friend. This is what they spoonfeed the public, who hunger for a story of bravery and hardships, of love and compassion, to make them feel alive once again. This, if ever, is a good time indeed to speak about your affection, whether truthful, or not.
However, there are some theoretical circumstances where the end result is infinity. One example is the singularity in the description of black holes. Some solutions of the equations of the general theory of relativity allow for finite mass distributions of zero size, and thus infinite density. This is an example of what is called a mathematical singularity, or a point where a physical theory breaks down.
