You confused the beginning with that of another song, which is what struck me most (in the original there are no chords, only a 3 note solo). Leaving that aside and the shitty quality of your microphone, great stuff.
On a related note, I've been wondering -- isn't there a way to adaptively measure the noise and unwanted modulations/resonances that a [microphone]+[acquisition board] pair adds to a signal and then produce a filter that attempts to undo that effect? To partly answer my own question, that would probably require a speaker for which the added noise/modulation/resonance must already be known (but to obtain that data you would need a calibrated or very high quality microphone), or a really high-quality speaker. So basically, I suppose it's a chicken-and-egg problem.
