New to progaming

Hey /prog/. I fucking love the idea of programming, but every time i sort of get into a book i just forget about it after two days. Tips? links to a series of vids that will help me? (easier to keep interest if its videos)

How does Tom Araya remember how to play the bass? He plays it every fucking day. So how you think you would remember something you learned from a book?

Sorry, i did not clarify. My issue is not that i forget the content, its that i forget about the book. I just throw it aside and never get back to it

If you can't find enough energy or interest to properly read a fucking programming book, you should really stay away from programming. Otherwise, you'll end up as the majority, filling SF.net, Freshmeat and Debian repositories with just more duplicated, bug-filled, useless and malcoded abandonware.
