Posts are saged (marked as sage by their mail field), threads are not ``saged''. Threads are merely not bumped needlessly.
It is polite not to bump threads in slow boards unless your post carries a significant contribution. I don't consider most of my posts, even those with significant contributations as truly worthy of bumping a thread, unlike all those self-important idiots who think their contentless posts are worth bumping a thread and bringing it to everyone's attention.
