How do I go about making physics engines? Aren't they just basic manipulation of 3D objects that are rendered? What can I do to take this engine a step further? I have extensive C++ programming knowledge and have done 3D work before.

OP here thank you so much for your help i was able to finish my project on the deadline my professor said he'll look over it then called the patent office and suddenly left and i haven't seen him since i wonder what happened :(
