It's not a magic number, it's an epsilon value. What's funny is that the smallest possible amount of precision with IEEE754 double precision is around 1e-16, so the compiler will round up the literal value to that.

The '?:' operator works in a different way than it was expected. The '?:' operator has a lower priority than the '*' operator.
