x86 is awesome. If you disagree it's because you're too simple to understand it.

What is that I hear? The only company willing to license embedded 3d renderer IP for ARM systems refuses to disclose the driver sources and/or specifications? I guess that's why having one stable ABI is so important, so you could be compatible with the blobs. Hahahaha, faggot.

I guess the situation for embedded MIPS 3D renderer IP is all milk and RMS then?

Oh I'm not done with you just yet! How is it not to be able to even boot an operating system on your silly architecture without using a big blob from nVidia? Or would you prefer to just curl up, cover your ears and scream "tegra doesn't exist" over and over, thinking it would make a difference. Enjoy sucking corporate dick while I enjoy absolute freedom on my MIPS64 machine.

ARM is a great architecture. But will it turn out to learn nothing of x86 clusterfuck mistakes? Will the implementations be forever influenced by the neverending stupidity of the legal department and that of shitty coders? Find out, in the next decade of this shitty world.

Nope sorry, the only good instruction set is Sussman & Steele's scheme chip.

The two dominate OS's on ARM platform are iPhone(need to know some obj-c) and Android(Java). Every other ARM OS is fucked up. Kind of sad only Apple and Google can get it right.

Who cares, I only care about desktops, laptops and netbooks. You know, those things that generally don't have touchscreens you can get smudge upon but have rather comfortable keyboards and large usable screens. If every device with a screen smaller than 9 inches suddenly started running Windows CE I wouldn't give the slightest fuck. Embedded toys are for faggots.
