Apparently, some recent changes in the D standard libraries make the source written in the book, "The D Programming Language", out dated.

Are there any better and more up to date tutorials for D.

why doesnt Walter port his D language or his C/C++ compiler to Linux?

eh? Dmd2 has been on linux for ages.

my university comp-sci classes didn't prepare me for using D in the real world.  now i can't land a single programming job =(
