How does one change the start of the week to Monday?

Name: Anonymous 2011-07-20 12:25

By switch to LXDE

This "users are idiots, and are confused by functionality" mentality of Gnome is a disease. If you think your users are idiots, only idiots will use it. I don't use Gnome, because in striving to be simple, it has long since reached the point where it simply doesn't do what I need it to do.

It's so simple it's complicated to do anything non-trivial?

GNOME2 was pretty decent compared to GNOME3.
I have no fucking how to:
 * change the starting day of the week to Monday
 * change/tweak fonts
 * make the date more verbose
 * rename the Bluetooth device

You have no fucking how????

Well, you really that post

I'd guess it's locale-dependent. In my (third world) country  the week starts on monday, and GNOME 3 displays the calendar accordingly. You can change it in the system settings thing they added, but I think you'll have to logout for it to take effect.

The fonts can be changed with the riceingly named gnome-tweak-tool. You can also set a font hinting level that doesn't give eye cancer, but I guess that also depends on the font (the default of which sucks Bjarne's balls).

Also, ask this kind of questions in /g/ next time, please.
