LulzSec is just an offshoot of GNAA/EncyclopediaDramatica/GoatseSecurity. I mean, they even refer to /b/ as a of "furfag menace" just like weev used to. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see that weev and timecop were somehow orchestrating the whole LulzSec operation from the safety of a sailing vessel located in international waters. I wouldn't put it past them.
