Code Monkey

how does being called a code monkey make you feel?

Programmers in most (if not in all) companies are code monkeys. It's just, when you are young, you believe in all those stuff (scientists, being engineer, algorithms etc), then you go to work and see some shit. Then you go somewhere else, things are different, because they have different shit. It's all over and over.

You have two options. First, you give up and you become manager, or just find other hobby and work as a programmer is only to get money, that's for about 95% of developers. Second, you work and after job you do something related to programming, that is interesting or you just try to find interesting things in your job.

That's the  context of code monkeys and real programmers.
