write mega-awesome, world rocking, cash-mountain-generating .NET app over the last couple days
everything works perfectly in VS modulo minor tweaks, declare the project essentially done.
run the .exe outside visual studio to double check that it works.
CRASH AND BURN
trace the exception to a call to a third-party library (libcurl).
slap try/catch tags around it.
PROGRAM MAGICALLY WORKS FINE NOW
no exception, "catch" code never entered.
try it in visual studio again with and without try/catch, still works both ways
try it outside visual studio without try/catch, still crashes
WHATEVER, I DON'T EVEN FUCKING CARE ANYMORE
leave try/catch in code and forget it.
