Python is jewish. Don't use it.

Python's predecessor, ABC, was inspired by SETL, a very-high level programming language based on the mathematical theory of sets.

>Cantor was frequently described as Jewish in his lifetime

>Fraenkel was a fervent Zionist and as such was a member of Jewish National Council and the Jewish Assembly of Representatives He is known for his contributions to axiomatic set theory, especially his addition to Ernst Zermelo's axioms which resulted in Zermelo–Fraenkel axioms.

What's the alternative to set theory?

But isn't infinite recursion in LISP also Jewish?

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-23 9:42

recursion != infinite.

(defun f () (f)) is just a list, that contains symbol `f` two times. where is "infinity"?

If you can prove it never completes, you've proved it runs for infinite time.

In the execution of that function's invocation.

define "never completes"

In the execution of that function's invocation.
Executed. Haven't found infinity.

If you can prove that world was created, you've proved that God exists.
define "created"

Leopold Kronecker, a finitist, was Cantor's main rival. He was also a Jew.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leopold_Kronecker#Biography

Paul Bernays, a Jew, also backed finitism alongside David Hilbert.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Bernays

In more modern times, finitism's largest proponent was Reuben Goodstein, also a prominent Jew.

You just can't escape the Jews, finitist or infinitist.

Wait, aren't both The Sussman and The Ableson born to Jewish families? Therefore, The Lisp is a Jewish invention.

Scheme isnt Lisp. It doesnt even have macros.

I doubt, that George Berkeley and Friedrich Nietzsche were jews. And, please, note: I'm not a finitist, I'm a subjective idealist. Meaning I deny existence of objective ideals, like "God", "infinity" or "finite". There is no fucking spun!

In 1923, Thoralf Skolem published a paper in which he presented a semi-formal system, which is now known as primitive recursive arithmetic, that is widely taken to be a suitable background for finitist mathematics. This was adopted by David Hilbert and Paul Bernays as the "contentual" finitist system for metamathematics, in which a proof of the consistency of other mathematical systems (e.g. full Peano Arithmetic) was to be given. (See Hilbert's program.)

So I hate finitists as much as I hate infinitists.

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-23 10:55

That is a lie. Hilbert was an opponent of finitism:
