In my dreams, it should have a "chan" made in perl6, with many advanced features like BBCODE + color, auto(magically)-coloring of source text, and voting for posts. And tits.

Some features i'm thinking on implementing:
* You can create a "user". You will be given an URL that you must save as a bookmark, and is your responsibility to save that bookmark. No login/logout mechanism. The URL (together with the nickname) will be discarded if not used in 1 year.
* You can vote for posts. I like the idea of not hiding posts, but reducing the font size for shitposts. With time, they might dissapear completely.
* I'm thinking on the possiblity to use "avatars" from a fixed set of small .png files (linked to the "user url")
* Maybe i will allow to post articles or rants in a separate section of the site.
* No "sage". I accept ideas on how to keep interesting threads at the top.
As for when it will be ready, i don't know. I'm poor now so i have to wait a couple of months to reactivate my credit card so i can buy some hosting.

Hey, i like sepxcode. I also like mediawiki markup, as any faggot can use it. Ideas are welcome but implementing them is low priority for now.
>>41
* I really like the URL thing. As long as you keep it anonymous and release the source code, of course.
* God, fuck, no, take that back to /r/stackoverjews.
* nononononononono.
* So you want to redo /q/? Look at the fucking piece of shit it is right now, please, no.
* Goddamn, what the fuck are you smoking? No, no.

I think that this topic about eating is one of the most confusing. It took me so many years to grasp what is good for me and what is not. You need to understand that a supermarket is the place where the game isn’t played fair. The situation is like this: on one side the Congress, lobbyists, the majority of politicians, the extremely powerful food industry, and on the other side you, alone against them. There are some books such as “The End of Overeating” by David Kessler, “Ultrametabolism” by Mark Hyman (my favorite), “The Fountain of Wealth” by Paul Zane Pilzer to name a few, that can shed some light on the topic, and show you how vulnerable you are.
My understanding of the meaning of food goes like this. We human beings are part of nature. We are animals and we have bodies that are adapted to eat only natural products. On the cellular level we cannot absorb any artificial nor unnatural product. Unfortunately, for all of us, there is only an extremely small selection of food in any store. The rest of the products are simply trash, completely inedible and toxic for your body.
We, as a human species, cannot eat food products and have benefits from them if they do not have a natural origin such as fruits, vegetables, organic meat, eggs, clean water, corn, and grains. With the rest of the so-called food, you must be seriously careful.
Many kinds of food processing are dangerous and have the ability to kill you and your children. Our generation is the last one who is going to live longer than previous generations. Our children are going to live on average 10 years shorter because of a consumption of lethal food such as highly processed groceries. This highly toxic food has the power to kill a loved one, but it is also directly responsible for your mental state. Let me explain what I mean by that.
The digestive system is one of the highest energy consuming structures in our body. If you eat junk food, you have three problems:
First, all of your energy disappears and you do not have the power to do basic tasks;
Second, you are hungry after using all of your energy on the trash consumption.
Third, the most dangerous artificial substances intoxicate your body and simply have the power to destroy your organism.
Being fat and intoxicated is only a small part of the price that you are paying for eating trash. The most profound costs are on a psychological level: your mood is changed, attitude is changed, and self-negation increased.
As I mentioned above, you are alone with the battle over good healthy food. Nobody will help you, because at the end of the day you are going to make the choice of what you put in your basket in the supermarket. There is only one way to eat healthy products and there are important elements worth considering: self education, cooking at home, the right choice of natural food.
The last one is also important for the reason that your money is like the powerful voting system. You can allocate your money to the food industry (which is set up as a business to kill and intoxicate you) or you can support a local farmer. The choice is yours; it is your life and your children’s. Now you know enough to make the right decision.

There must be a way to cope with spam and shitpost like "jew" stuff of "lel" crap. I can't stand it. Is one of the reasons i'm coding this. I love /prog/ but is becoming shit.
Also, i want a "smart" way to bring up a thread to the front page. I guess i'm use "sage" by default and bump if you mark a checkbox, in the meantime.
>>45 I guess i'm use "sage" by default and bump if you mark a checkbox, in the meantime.
That's infinitely better.
I don't mind the Jew stuff as long as the programming related posts outweigh the antisemitism. You can filter the lel crap and ban some IPs. To avoid the "oh i'll simply use a proxy and register again", you could issue a simple random programming challenge every time a new user registers. That way you would also keep the non-programmers out of /prog/.
You'd have to check the results of the submitted programs manually, of course. You should do this only once and the delay you generate while checking the result would be more than enough to weed out the spambots.

No one would register except you. That is stupid. You, are stupid. Back to your shitty, failed hacker news account, cunt. We have had this discussion dozens of times but you continually fail to realize that a board without users is a failure. Make it as heavily moderated as you like, but no one is going to post on it. Anon types don't like the rules and forum types don't like the lack of a login system, avatar, and birthday emails.
So no, no one is going to play on your piece of shit board just because you ban people. If it was that big of a concern, then people would have left already. This is just as stupid as the French guy's proposal for a darknet that can reveal you identity. Why in the fuck would anyone wanting to share anything interesting want to be on a network where that was possible? Its just stupid.
also keep the non-programmers out of /prog/
How is this even an issue? You probably come from /jp/ and think there is a dire situation is le newfags flooding in that needs to be stopped. Get over yourself or go home. All these homework help threads are probably trolling anyway. “how do I do helo world in java???” is February? Unlikely.
Nikita/Ahmed posts here a lot. I'm pretty sure his posts aren't programming related, but look, he made a fucking DSL in Lisp. Which means even the worse people know how to program and there should be no issues by leaving the non-programmers (probably the e/g/in guy) outside. We probably don't want people worse than Nikita here. But that's a shame, that would leave Mentifex out.
You might be right with the "Anon types don't like the rules", but then the imageboards would have imploded years ago.
I wasn't proposing a "write a metacircular evaluator" challenge, it was more of a "determine the 1000th prime" or "transpose this matrix" in your language of choice. If you're willing to take 5 minutes of your time for the sake of a better textboard, why not?
Now, you're right, you'd have to try it to see if it works. The entry barrier might be too high, but since it's an experiment, it's worth trying.
You probably come from /jp/ and think there is a dire situation is le newfags flooding in that needs to be stopped
It's true that /g/ is shitting up the place, but that's not the reason. I already explained with the Nikita example.

I'm not gonna "ban" people if i can. Anyone can post anonymously if they want. I'm just offering another mechanism for "namefagging".
As for non-programmers, i don't think it's a good idea to "filter" users.
It's a clone of /prog/ after all, and i say it with no shame. I just want to moderate individual posts, not users.
And if no one uses it, does not matter. I enjoy programming and will have some dollars to spare for webhosting.
Also i think that people will left /prog/ for serious (and funny) posting if offered a cool, lightweight, anonymous board to post into. Being that said, I have more features in mind, but will not talk about them until the release. See ya in a few months. Feel free to keep posting ideas (and rage too)...
...faggot
Sincerely,OP.

Write it in Lisp, make it open source, implement ((Sexpcode)), get Nikita, Shlomo and tdavis to post there and I'll fucking move.

Cudder isn't attention whoring, and Nikita is doing it without even using a handle.

I don't trust you guys with my IP. I'm afraid you'll tell the KGB I've been doing bad things if you don't like me. I rest easy knowing that moot is lazy and incompetent.

So if someone does report you as a suspected terrorist, then what? There's no evidence and last time I checked, USA was "innocent until proven guilty".

You and all your friends get a dossier in at several government agencies and will be investigated and likely wiretapped for the rest of your life. Not to worry though, they aren't all that competent. Other than the IRS, it could take the government years to escalate an issue beyond having the local cops harass you. You will probably be put on the no-fly-list immediately. But just like the IRS, they are quite arbitrary, so they might just arrest you and interrogate you for several days instead. Of all the things you may expect, having your name cleared is not one of them.
>>65 You will probably be put on the no-fly-list immediately.
So after permanently branding you a potential terrorist, they also prevent you from leaving for a country that doesn't treat its citizens like shit?
