Python syntax

Why did they change the syntax for catching exceptions in 2.6?  What was fucking wrong with catch VoodooException, ve?

Really, it didn't make anything fucking clearer than it was before.  It just spawned five thousand metric tons of turd-programs that don't work on 2.5 because their developers use 2.6 or 2.7 on workstations and can't give a fuck about testing their shit anywhere outside of their basement where every system is unstable or -CURRENT.  A fuckton of REAL WORLD servers still use 2.5.

Did you ever read the Python 2.6 changelog[1]? Or PEP 3110[2]?

By the way, all the servers I run (that is, none) are either 2.6 or 2.7 depending on distribution, and I don't give a fuck about your real world scenarios.

I run Arch Linux on my home server. Fuck yeah, Python 3.2. Where's your Real World now?
