Actually, that's a myth about Islam. Islam doesn't treat women as inferior or say they should be kept inside houses or traded. It treats them as equals. The way ``Muslim men'' in Arab countries treat their women doesn't stem from Islam itself, but from the fucked up medieval traditions that exist in the fucked up Arab territory (which ironically contradict the very teachings and preachings of Islam). Islam is pretty much a "peace and equality and kindness blah blah blah" hippie-ness religion, except that it's more conservative like (and even more so than) Judaism on suppoesedly rational grounds, rather blind fanaticism like the media in the west portrays it.
Of course, there are the fanatics and the extremists, but that's something else. Not nearly 20% of Muslims are so. Remember: Not all Muslims are Arabs. Islam is the most stereotyped and misunderstood religion in the western world because it's associated with the currently fucked up Arab culture.
And no, Muslims don't like to bomb things. At all. They're just normal human beings, and they think it's wrong. Bombings have always happened in the US (and everywhere) by white people (and by anyone) and nobody gave a shit. But now a few Muslims blew up a few things and it became the media's center of attention.
The question is: Why? If anything, this shows just how fucked up the media is. The same braindead media that worships the daily lives of those braindead celebrities and goes in meaningless "moral panics" about video games containing "controversial" material.
