Why would newcomers make good posts? They'll be greeted by the most mindless trolling, spamming and general shit-postery. They won't know what kind of discussion is considered 'good' here and /prog/ will continue its continual degradation just like a neighborhood will start seeing more robbery and violence as its buildings fall into disrepair.
