+1 support for Ruby, but I still love Lua <3
Stopped taking these guys seriously right there.

But lets assemble these "thoughts" for a moment:

+ They want to do it in C (good luck debugging memory leaks, and reinventing std::map & std::vector over and over again!)
+ They discuss using Lua. Good thing actually - if they weren't arguing about the syntax like it would actually fucking matter
+ No concept whatsoever, but already opened a github page, AND a sketchpad hosted by a german socialist party (pirate party). Why don't they just invite Marx himself, since they are already clearly fucked in the butt?
+ They actually believe that '-O' means 'it runs faster', which is wrong, wrong on so many levels in fact
+ They even discuss using V8. Bad Idea - V8 is a major PITA, uses global variables internally, uses threading internally, which makes finding bugs fucking impossible
+ They believe they could possibly kick out a game that even just remotely resembles Minecraft in roughly a week - Notch probably worked around 2 years (just a guess, but including the time to the first Beta version)
+ "Assembler" - wat
+ "SSE3" - these fuckers clearly have no idea what they're talking about
+ "XNA" - can it possibly get any more obvious

Some claim that you could write a fullblown game in plain C - I have no clue where the hell they heard that, but i strongly doubt it relies on facts. Every single major game is written in C#, C++, Java, or a mix of these three. Don't believe me? Just scan (filealyzer, faggot) the DLL and EXE files.

Even with SDL, doing a game in C is clearly impossible, without fucking reinventing things like binary tables, binary arrays, shared pointers, proper string handling, avoiding memory leaks, and so on.

Just yet another aids-riddled thread on /g/, i suppose...
