Love2D

Hey there, /prog/
How do I made work with Love2D? I've used Lua before, but for whatever reason I can't get Love to run my code. Put 'em in a .zip files, had a file named main.lua, but all it'll do is launch Love and then immediately cause it to crash.

I've been trying to get a simple 'hello world' type script (I say script, yes, I assume that my calling a simple chunk of Lua a script isn't a faux pas in this board).

The issue definitly isn't my code, but the way I'm setting up the .love (or .zip, I'm told they're interchangeable anyways) file to be run. The tutorial on setting it up isn't very helpful, and I've had no success with just messing with the demos and online examples.

Any of you guys think you can help?
Kinda new to /prog/ if you couldn't tell, but yeah. f

And if I'm going to get flamed for asking how to use Love2D, oh fucking well. I'm a CS major, a software engineer, etc. etc., I know my shit. Just can't get this thing to work for me.

I'm hoping I don't have to prove myself for you to help me though, but again, I wouldn't know, I don't post here.

Oh boy, you sure showed him.

Sorry OP, never used love before, and I don't know how much help this board will be.

also since when was a simple sage considered “flaming”?

Regardless, will anyone know how to/want to help me?

Before you start whining about how /prog/ is not helpful at all, almost no one here uses Lua.

if you want to talk about embedding Lua in a sepples app, then you might have something to talk about

if you want to talk about implementing a superoptimizing Lua compiler as a 500 LOC Haskell app, then you might have something to talk about

LuaJIT?

I'm not sure why, or how, you would implement Lua into Haskell.

Luags would be a better name.
