what is your opinion on <marque>

<marquee behavior="scroll" direction="left" loop="-1">
HERP DERP I WILL DISTRACT YOU EVEN IF YOU TURN OFF JAVASCRIPT
</marquee>

on a related note: even when i block javascript from dis.4chan.org, it still does [spoiler] onmouseover. wtf is up with that. is it because i'm running a userscript?

what's up with the tone, buddy?

HTML5 clearly still requires implementation of <marquee>:

11.3.2 The marquee element (between <applet> and <frames>)
http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/obsolete.html#the-marquee-element

my related note was perfectly valid: what if i choose to replace the javascript on a page with my own userscript; shouldn't i then have the option to block the foreign javascript while still maintaining the ability to run my own javascript?

my only recourse seems to be traversing the DOM tree and removing all events, and this is a hassle. anyways goodbye
