Scripting

Hi, i'm a sophomore in college and i'm going to start learning a scripting language.  Which one should i learn?  I hear ruby and python a lot, but also i hear lua is on par with them, and i think if it truly is on par i'd like to learn lua.

There's really no excuse not to use Perl or Python from the beginning.

You know what, fuck it.  Learn lua until you realize you've confused the definitions of scripting and you can't do anything, then switch to lisp and choke to death on a cudder.  What do I care.
