I'm a newbie programmer, but i want to learn functional (all the cool kids are doing it!), but i don't like Haskell..
It is possible to learn functional programming with perl6 (i have a background writing simple scripts in Perl5)... Some examples would be neat!

Why don't you learn functional programming in Perl5, and wait until Perl6 is actually usable to switch over?
